1. Clone a Space & Create Space Templates
1. Select Source Space
Users will only be able to select source spaces that they have permission to ‘view’.
2. New Space Details - Name and Key
Enter a unique space name and space key for the new space getting create. Those names and key need to be valid according to Atlassian’s validation.

3.1 Page Options
Clone page label
All pages will maintain their labels after cloning.Clone page restrictions
All pages will maintain their initial page restrictions allowing only specified users to view and edit them.Clone page attachments
All page attachments will be cloned into the new space. Meaning all images and other attachments displayed inside confluence pages will work just fine inside the new space.Clone page properties
Page properties are a technical concept to store additional information on pages that many apps use. You can clone them on the new created pages with this checkbox.
3.2 Space Permission
Default space permission
The new space will use the ‘Default space permission’ specified in Confluence global settings.Clone from source space
This setting will clone the space permission from the source space, allowing the same users and user groups to perform the same actions as in the source spaceMake the new space private
Doing so will only allow the current user to access the created space. All other users and groups need to be manually added if you wish to share the space later.
3.3 Page Title Customization
Add a prefix to page titles
All pages inside the cloned space will get a specified prefix added in front of their page name.
Example:
Prefix: 'APP: '
Initial page name: 'How to'
Page name after cloning: ‘APP: How to’
Find …
Here you can specify a text snippet, that you can replace with anther text snippet by providing a value in the ‘…replace with’ field. If you want to delete the initial text snippet, just keep the ‘…and replace with’ field empty.…and replace with
If a ‘Find…’ is provided, all page titles in the new space will have the found text snippets of ‘Find…' replaced with the provided text snippet from ‘…and replace with’:
Example:
Page title search: ‘Product A’
Page title replace: ‘Product B’
Initial page name: ‘How to initiate Product A’
Page name after cloning: ‘How to initiate Product B’
4. Save Configuration as Space Template
Select the textbox and specify a space template name to reuse the configuration in future cloning.
Doing so will make the settings selectable in the ‘Select space template’ picker on the top left.
You’ll find a list of existing Space Templates inside the ‘Space Templates’ Tab. There you can also see who created what space based on those templates.
5. Submit and Start Cloning
Press ‘Clone Space’ to initiate space cloning based on selected parameters.
First a new space with the selected permission will be created
Once the space is created, the space content cloning begins.
Finally the space cloning is complete and a ‘Visit Space’ button appear.
Click on ‘Visit Space’ to enter the cloned space.
