3. Audit Log - Extended Project Administration for Jira

Extended Project Administration for Jira allows project administrators to switch schemes. Since those changes are done from the apps perspective, they will also show up in Jira’s native ‘Audit log’ as done by the app.

To still have a clear picture of who changed what and when, the app comes with it’s own audit log. Global audit log and project specific audit log.

Global Audit Log

  1. On the global configuration page, click on ‘Audit Log’ in the bottom.

2. On the ‘Global Audit Log’ page, all changes done by the app in all projects are displayed.

3. Use the filter for timeframe, project, author or free text to find the changes you are looking for.

4. Use ‘Return’ to go back to global configuration page.

  • Only the first 1000 results are displayed in the UI. Filters can help finding the correct changes

  • Based on Forge storage API limitations, the app stores up to 5000 entries, before it starts to overwrite the oldest ones. We are looking to increase this limit in the future.

Project Specific Audit Log

  1. On the project settings page, click on ‘Audit Log’ in the bottom.

2. On the ‘Project Audit Log’ page, all changes within the specific project done by the app are displayed to project administrators of that specific project.

3. Use the filter for timeframe, author or free text to find the changes you are looking for.

4. Use ‘Return’ to go back to project settings page.
